SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Airman 1st Class Brian Holley, 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels operator goes through the procedures of refueling a KC-10 Extender with Staff Sgt. Joshua Schubert, 380th ELRS distribution supervisor, Jan 21. Sergeant Schubert performs checks at random to ensure proper procedures are followed and assists other Airmen when needed during aircraft refueling. SOUTHWEST ASIA -- A line of fuel bladders pump out fuel from the 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels storage yard for aircraft refueling, Jan 21. SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Airman 1st Class Brian Holley, 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels operator annotates information from the meters of a R-12 Hydrant Servicing Vehicle, Jan 21. The meters track how many gallons were pumped into the aircraft and the totals are used to track the amount at the end of each day. On average the 380th ELRS fuels flight pumps 520,000 gallons a day into aircraft throughout Southwest Asia. SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Two R-11 fuel trucks refuel an E-3 Sentry at the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, Jan 21. The R-11 holds 6,000 gallons of fuel and is used to refuel the different aircraft at the 380th AEW. The E-3 Sentry takes 20,000 gallons to refuel when completely empty.
